IBM Think
Created for IBM's 100th anniversary. The IBM Think exhibition debuted in New York City at Lincoln Center.
I worked as a creative coder on the data wall portion of the exhibition. I wrote custom data visualizations in C++ for the 123-foot long digital display that lead visitors into the exhibition. The data wall showed real-time visualization of traffic flow, solar energy, air quality, water usage, and fraudulent credit card transactions. All of these visualizations were drawn from the viewer's surrounding NYC environment.
The data wall, in an embodied way, reveals how we are now able to analyze and predict complex systems in real-time, and apply this knowledge to improve efficiency and resource management. It was a unique opportunity to code graphics for such a large and immersive display.
